And once you reach fluids you can not hand craft them anymore.
You can also use mods,[ficsit.app] if you'd like to change the experience even further.
I advise you to play the "vanilla" game first, but wanted to let you know about all of your options... especially since you started the thread by mentioning third-party software and worrying about what was "allowed".
TL;DR: It's a single-player and/or co-op experience, with no leaderboards. As far as anyone knows or cares, the only person defining "cheating" in this scenario is you.
Edited to add: If you choose to continue playing the "vanilla" game, I cannot stress enough the importance of automating the manufacture of everything you are able to make, as quickly as possible. The "grind" in this game is setting up the manufacturing, not killing mobs. The rewards are increased personal abilities and technological capabilities, and earning the creative freedom to reshape the world in whatever fashion is pleasing to you.
I never defined cheating as apposed to this game All I said is that I can understand why other games don't allow it especially in a pvp environment. To reiterate this game doesn't have such environments it only has Co-op otherwise known as multiplayer without going against other players. Based on those two points alone I don't see why they would restrict third party mods.
In other words I was defining it as cheating for PVP games but not as such in regaurds to this game.
External programs require an entry point into the program, which can cause problems with the intended operation of the program. Have you looked for one specifically for this game, as opposed to one that can be used with "most" games?
No just one that would work for the specific task I have in mind. Auto clicker doesn't work for this game as all the tasks work off a hold click. Certain tasks like gathering will require you to hold a key down like "E" to gather ore at the start of the game. I restart the game periodically to try new things without the hassle of re-population stints. you know how once you build any object in a location what ever creatures that usually spawn there stop spawning even if its just a wire pole. Because of this certain resources run low cause the mobs are in locations needed to build through. So for me starting over is something that is going to happen again and again. I would like to be able to gather more efficiently while I am AFK.
That being said, I am no noob to this game. I have played over 1,000 hours of this game and I have been playing off and on sense it came out.
I didn't know about the space-bar being an automation craft hotkey though, must have over looked that. I found a different work around though. The (Click lock) option under the mouse properties in Windows. By going to control panel/mouse properties and ticking the Lock Click box when ever you hold down a click for about 3 seconds and let go it will be as if you are still holding the click even though your not. just click again to release.
Now if there were only that same option for a key stroke.
