Auto Clickers and Macros
Are auto clickers and Macros allowed in this game? I ran into a problem as soon as I opened an Auto Key Presser. The reason I would like to use these types of programs in conjunction with this game is because gathering and manufacturing in this game are so time consuming that i feel like I am wasting valuable physical time. If I could use these programs in game I can multitask eat a snack, drink refreshments, step away and relieve my self, or simply watch a video or movie during those time consuming processes. Everything is time consuming in this game especially in the beginning of the game.

I can see where other games may not want to accept the use of such software for fear of giving sed players an advantage over other players especially in a pvp environment. this being a crafting game and leisure playing it would make sense to allow programs like this.

you should be building your factory/factories to mass produce everything in the game if you do that there will be minimal downtime and having to craft at a bench ... besides if you prefer manual crafting just hit spacebar when your mouse is over the craft button and it will auto craft till its out of resource for that item

Yep, there's nothing that should be stopping you from doing anything. If you're at a craft bench, just tap spacebar and you can auto-craft items endlessly if your fingers need a break. You may need to click on the craft button first.

You will have to automate at some point. Every tier that gets unlocked by the space elevator will need you to have a factory in place as these items for the space elevator can not be crafted on the bench. And the further you get the more lower tier stuff you need.
And once you reach fluids you can not hand craft them anymore.

You can also lock the chainsaw on by opening and closing your inventory while firing the chainsaw.

If all of the above advice sounds like it would still be too tedious, you can use the Save Editor[satisfactory-calculator.com] to view the map, generate/modify foundation, edit your inventory, and even turn on "creative mode" (turn off resource and power restrictions).

You can also use mods,[ficsit.app] if you'd like to change the experience even further.

I advise you to play the "vanilla" game first, but wanted to let you know about all of your options... especially since you started the thread by mentioning third-party software and worrying about what was "allowed".

TL;DR: It's a single-player and/or co-op experience, with no leaderboards. As far as anyone knows or cares, the only person defining "cheating" in this scenario is you.

Edited to add: If you choose to continue playing the "vanilla" game, I cannot stress enough the importance of automating the manufacture of everything you are able to make, as quickly as possible. The "grind" in this game is setting up the manufacturing, not killing mobs. The rewards are increased personal abilities and technological capabilities, and earning the creative freedom to reshape the world in whatever fashion is pleasing to you.

I never defined cheating as apposed to this game All I said is that I can understand why other games don't allow it especially in a pvp environment. To reiterate this game doesn't have such environments it only has Co-op otherwise known as multiplayer without going against other players. Based on those two points alone I don't see why they would restrict third party mods.

In other words I was defining it as cheating for PVP games but not as such in regaurds to this game.

We're aware it's co-op and not pvp.

External programs require an entry point into the program, which can cause problems with the intended operation of the program. Have you looked for one specifically for this game, as opposed to one that can be used with "most" games?

No just one that would work for the specific task I have in mind. Auto clicker doesn't work for this game as all the tasks work off a hold click. Certain tasks like gathering will require you to hold a key down like "E" to gather ore at the start of the game. I restart the game periodically to try new things without the hassle of re-population stints. you know how once you build any object in a location what ever creatures that usually spawn there stop spawning even if its just a wire pole. Because of this certain resources run low cause the mobs are in locations needed to build through. So for me starting over is something that is going to happen again and again. I would like to be able to gather more efficiently while I am AFK.

That being said, I am no noob to this game. I have played over 1,000 hours of this game and I have been playing off and on sense it came out.

I didn't know about the space-bar being an automation craft hotkey though, must have over looked that. I found a different work around though. The (Click lock) option under the mouse properties in Windows. By going to control panel/mouse properties and ticking the Lock Click box when ever you hold down a click for about 3 seconds and let go it will be as if you are still holding the click even though your not. just click again to release.

Now if there were only that same option for a key stroke.

Make the automation and you can eat your snack while your storages overflow into a ticket machine. Yes making the automation is the job. Once it's made it's a mixture of remaking, upgrading expending and exploring.
