nitrogen gas
i have a long pipeline to my base and at the moment the gas is not actually feeding anything.

whist extending the pipe to something i noticed a variation in pressure so i walked on the pipe all the way back to my nitrogen source , the pressure in the pipe varies from 65 to 73 and in some areas even lower.

I read length of pipe does not matter and no pumps are required.
The well extractor is oc to 200% because if i needed more its a long way off to alter it , it is fed by 6 well extractors and all the pipe is mk 2 ...

on some of the well extractors i see a message saying trying very hard ....... do i need to change to mk1 pipes on everything including the main pipeline

The output depends on the purity of the wells.

(Also, when you say pressure I think you mean throughput so that these values are in m³/min.)
However, you should wait until the pipes are filled. So the the longer the pipe is the longer it takes until it is filled. You can help that (IMO) to put valves on the pipes before you merge two or more together so that there is no flow from one well to another.

Also the "trying very hard" is an easter egg:

There is a chance when opening the resource well extractor UI for it to say "fracking, kind of..." or "trying really hard..." instead of "extracting..."

Hi wolfgang we meet again .... the problem was caused by the fact that the nitrogen was not actually been used so the bellows on the pipes were not working as they should

I didn't consider this possibility.
