Search function has no controller binding :p
At least 95% of games developed for consoles have controller/gamepad support.
At least 95% of games developed for PC have minimal gamepad support.
;p
I can sympathise with your pain, but you do not need to support your argument with fiction. All you need to do is state that there is a need for controller support for this game. That said, as noted above, it may be a feature once the game is completed. Until then be patient and put your infuriation to rest ;)

1. It's an Early Access game, i.e. it's still in development, and thus they haven't nailed down what all the player abilities are and it would be a waste of resources to spend time implementing controller support just to have to rework that support again whenever a new feature is added. Leaving controller support until they know for certain what all the controls and functions are is efficient.
2. Mapping the game's controls to a gamepad sounds like a nightmare with how many controls there are. Sure, it's basically FPS controls. But after you add those there aren't many buttons left over for things like the map and mail keys, the hotbar, the customiser and build menu.
3. Coffee Stain might be inexperienced with controller support. I'm not familiar with their other games but as indie devs they may not have much experience with implementing it and so are holding fire on it until they're ready to tackle it.
Overall I hope they do add controller support but just because alot of games have controller support doesn't necessarily mean it's easy or practical for this specific developer to add it into this specific unfinished game or that it takes priority over other more far-reaching aspects of the game like the core gameplay loop/progression and bug fixing.
Typically it's more about the movement or more swaps or delicate stuff like, apropos, building placement at distance etc.
I won't stop you from making this request, but there are a 100 and 1 things that they could do for everyones benefit.
One day when you are older of age or disability begins keeping you from doing the things you love I hope you remember this comment you wrote
He does come off as a bit of a Karen with entitlement issues ("I will keep bringing this up until I get my way") but to be fair, the game had controller support at a point, and if using M&K hurts, I can get why they'd like that option back; the personal characterization you do here is going a bit far.
