best server rental service for satisfactory
the only requirements i have is that the service be running the new dedicated server software, not a modded copy of the game that is acting like a server.

My friend and i have opened up an account at nitrado, because they started using the new server software, but even though the server is located in L.A. (I am approximately 403 miles north of L.A.) i am getting constant timeouts and am seeing a lot of weirdness while playing the game. It is quite clear that nitrado is not able to meet the needs of me and my friend.

previously, my friend and I had been doing the already available way of doing multiplayer; he was connecting to me via steam. but due to my upload rate of 1mbps and the distance between us (he's in hong kong) the lag he was experiencing was making it unplayable for him. we had hoped that the dedicated server rental would be able to make my limited upload rate a non-issue.

is there a highly rater game server rental service that supports satisfactory and it's dedicated server software?

I realize that the server software is still very much in the beta stage, but the issues i have been seeing are not related to that. server software wise, everything has been working well, with only a little bit of "beta weirdness" going on.

Here's the thing. I also have an account at Nitrado for hosting afew games with my friends. Not even a couple months ago Nitrado didn't have service for hosting Satisfactory. So, I searched the web for some sort of hosting service, and came across a hosting site that is named/at "Zap-Hosting.com"... But, there's a catch for hosting an unsupported host game. The server acts as a player that counts to player count. The "Host" of your server will be in game all times, new copies of the host will stack inside the hub structure after the server restarts/starts until you kill them to maintain the hoarding of host.

If you go this route. I advise you to start your own game then copy your game to the game server. Learning this service was frustrating to me but once i got the hang of it we had fun. However, depending on internet connections, experience may vary.
Nitrado works fine with the new Dedicated Servers for Experimental branch.

they should be using the new dedicated server software, so zap-hosting is out of consideration

i think i am running into memory issues with the server. as in not enough memory.
if you have a spare computer laying around refresh the windows installation on it and download and install cubecoders AMP. it costs $9.99 gbp but the server is yours and hosted locally.

AMP manages the sever side of things all you would need to do after setting up AMP is forward the ports through your router and bam its good to go.
i do, but the issue is that i have only a 1mbps upload speed, so running the dedicated server from my connection would only cause further issues.
Im currently playing on a server from gportal and no issues yet.
Have 48 Ingame Hours and no crashes yet, also no laggs and the only problems i noticed were probably caused by the game itself like items not being visible on the conveyors or Objects which are gone but visible from afar (like snails, if you go close they vanish)

They use the official serversoftware which can be used with the experimental version 5

I recommend creating a cloud compute instance at https://www.vultr.com/ and installing the Satisfactory dedicated server software yourself.
my friend setuo a server with GTX gaming. he setup the server with 32Gb of RAM. while I am still getting ocassional timeout issues, things like trains are no longer getting stuck because they are traveling at a snails pace. Also there is no slinky-like effect of the train cars as they travel. there is some weirdness, like whenever i try and toss a nobelisk, or when i look at itema on mk. v belts. i think these are issues stemming from the dedicated server software it self, based off of the latest patch notes for update 5. vehicle routes seem to be non functional at the moment, requiring me to do the delivery routes my self, but again, i think that's the beta server software, not the server itself or it's connection.
Zap Hosting is ♥♥♥♥! Don't rent there a server! When you need a server for 10€/per Month i can do it

I immediately discarded the idea of using zap hosting because i already investigated them, and they are using a modded copy of the game, not the dedicated server software.

Nobody could connect to my server, and the session constantly reverted back to, "Private", any time I tried to set it to, "Friends Only".

After the latest patch, suddenly I now have to, "Authenticate", and enter a password that I never created or have a clue what could be.

So, I am having a different experience with gportal.

I bought a new server from gportal, removed the old one, then added the newest one and was able to create the password and authenticate.

Sadly, the session continues to always revert back to, "Private", no matter what I do, blocking anyone else from connecting or being invited to join.

Is there some other means of connecting to these servers that we're unaware of?
