How long does game take you?

I've read that games takes 80-100 to finish. What's your experience? I have a lot of hours in, but I always keep restarting - perfectionist me, always trying to do it better. Wonder if the finish time is pretty consistent for all players or if there's huge variability. I guess that zooping function might chisel a few hours down.

Even if I have all research done, I consider the game not done. There is so much to build and explore :)

I am eager to know the story which will come with the 1.0 Version :)

That's a difficult question to answer. I frequently let the game run idle in the background during the day or leave it on while I sleep. Once Power is no longer an issue, this is a great way to build up resources.

But that also means i haven't got a clue how much time i've actually spent actively playing the game. That could easily be only 20% of my hours played on steam

Forever. I've got 400+ hours in the game and I've never finished a factory. Love to rebuild and rebuild.

Depends on how good you are at organizing things, how perfectionistic you are, and how quickly you learn. You could probably get to the end really quickly if you put zero care into the factory design, but that's not fun honestly

1600 hrs, and I still haven't finished the story.

Did a full play through in 599h. The map I'm working on right now it is at 475h and about 40% complete. It really depends on your play style and how you build your factory.

Nobody has finished the story. Coffee Stain supposedly isn't going to enable the story during pre-release to avoid spoiling the details....

113 hours and haven't gotten to tier 7-8 yet. Currently just building a mega power plant to power all the bullsht I'm going to build.

I have around 450 hours in and have completed what is currently available.

50 - 100 hours was spent on my first attempt. (did not like starting area)
50 - 100 hours was spent on my second attempt. (did not like starting area)
Third attempt I did everything there was to do and have not played since.

50 - 100 hours if you rush, with mild goofing off.

100 - 200 hours if you take your time and enjoy the progression.

200+ if you chill, build and explore.

This game is sandbox game style and there's no "complete" game. Except for a "mission" that you send out specifically parts to space station. And then beyond it, you can have fun building, rebuilding, etc.... whatever you want to do.

I mean, I guess it would be if you had something built on every square in the game.

Mines and wells don't run out of resources, so the game can go on forever.

Yes, you can finish. Unlock all the technology and send your last shipment in. Done.

No, you do not have to stop playing once you reach that point.

i got 1920hrs and counting and i still enjoy the game and not finished building..i have 4 items remaining for tier 9 and then i might start on nuke power

So.. Finished does not mean finished?

The game had some goals.. You can complete them. You don't have to stop playing.. Then you are not FINISHED playing the game.. You did finished the goals.
