Hint: You self-heal to 3 full boxes, the rest you either need to sniff something, or eat something. And check out what the key 'V' does...
Check out the wiki:

A good tip: There's no shame in starting over if you need to or missed out what ADA said.
Well covered. The control are simple and advice more than sufficient. Watching 'youtube' videos will fill in the rest.
I use ESDF to move
Than change it lol
It's the same layout for controls we've been using since 1993, and all of the controls are at your fingertips. How many buttons do you really use regularly? I'm pretty much always using wasd, f, q, and space... Build/Destroy...simple.
Then you've got left, right, and center click.
It really couldn't be simpler. I was actually intimidated by the game until I played it, and realised it's easier than I could have possibly imagined to place things in the 3d space.
Sorry to hear you're frustrated. Maybe you just don't like PC gaming.
Also I notice you played less than an hour. So...you barely even gave it a try. You're missing out on one of the best games I've ever played. I'd suggest working through it.
Even with the best game tutorials not everything will sink in but one of the great things about Satisfactory is that the game doesn’t punish you for making mistakes; you can simply delete the offending construction and start again with no loss of resources.
It really is a great game (if it is the sort of game for you) so definitely stick with it and build the world you want.
Not quite what you want but you could either paint the machines or the floor tiles to indicate your manufacturing zones for a visual clue as to what is producing what.
There's already a game with that; Factorio.
I wouldn't normally mind researching the game controls. But I'm already playing 4 other games that are similar, like ark, 7d2d, etc. Some of the keys differ for them. Unfortunately, Satisfactory has a lot of different key binds and controls compared to those games. I'm not ready to play a game that is completely different from all the others. Perhaps when I get tired of the others i'll spend more time trying to figure out Satisfactory. Now is not that time. It''s paid for so i don't have to worry about rebuying. I get other people had an easier time with the controls. And that is fine for them. I for one don't have the time to figure things out.
