Do you mean like upon exit? I've never not had an empty hypertube support not do the trick. If you're hitting light speed and phasing through objects, I'd think you'd know you're overdoing it as you're overdoing it.
If you want light speed travel and don't mind "cheating", you can make teleporters using the map editor.
For hyper-cannons, nothing works better than the hover pack. You can literally stop in mid air.
I KNOW that its going too fast, but its the fact that you have to trial and error it by taking the chance of losing your entire inventory every time you test it.
It also doesnt help that I used it 4 or 5 times and it worked fine, but the 6th time I went off into the skybox.
i have 1 contained tube that has 14 entrances and tbh idk why you would need more. It literally covers multiple Km is less than 30 sec.
And if you absolutely need to go faster you can always run on the mk5 belt with blade runners.
you know...
sane people usually drop a manual save point before they try anything THAT potentially dangerous...
i mean you even know what could potentially happen..
so like do yourself a favor and save before getting in the tube.
Yes.
And here's why.
You know how it can break yet didn't take any precautions.
You are aware that this mode of travel wasn't intended and can be buggy. Yet use it anyway.
I use hypertube cannons for most of my travel needs because they are fun.
But im also aware of the limitations when building them and how they can break, and or not function properly.
Ive already pushed, poked, and prodded the limits, and then stay within those limits.
You are pushing the limits but then get mad when the game engine simply shatters. Maybe recognize when you have broken the limits and dial it back.
Insted of going full gas pedal and saying the game doesn't work properly when you abuse the crap out of it.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Totally useless since zipline introduction.

Oh and +1 for lpnlizard27
Also op... parachutes...
If you want the true gaming experience working perfectly without worrying, just make the long hypertube going from point A to point B. You can even go with a scaled down cannon design to go faster. The journey won't last more than 2 minutes from one end of the map to the other, if setup correctly
I really wish the base speed of the hypertube was faster.
It is cripplingly slow across any distance further than moving throughout a factory, without having to resort to some stupid cheese design to turn it into a mini-cannon. It makes moving to outposts so tedious.
Save before doing something you know is risky. Come prepared. Build "popup factories" on-site for common building materials. Or, just bring enough materials to cannon yourself back home.
Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.
Like that may as well read 'facts dont care about your feelings'
Why even respond apart from jerking yourself off on your 'proper planning'
We've switched gears and are now complaining Hypertubes are just generally too slow. And then use being one single piece short of something as evidence to the case.
Between the Truck and your own inventory, there's something like 130 stacks of space. If you run out, it has nothing to do with hypertubes anymore -- regardless of how well they function.
Being thrown sideways is not random. By your own admission:
When you stack enough Hypertube Entrances to enter warp, weird is going to happen.
... and it has nothing to do with being one item short.
