anyone know where stingers spawn? i really need to know right now because i need oil and i think they spawn near oil or the biomes that oil is in.

They won't if you have a powered building nearby. Or rather, none of the "enemies" will if something is powered nearby, like a miner f.ex.

ik just i want to know what ores they are near or what biomes they are near

You can find tons of them in the red bamboo forest, especially at night.
You can also find them in the larger caves, usually around slugs and stuff.

The only areas where stingers and oil nodes get mixed is in the southwest blue pit and "the delta" on the west side of the "Central lake". The latter is the easiest for turbofuel though.

The northern sea and the "Gold coast" are relatively clear of stingers. Spitters though.
