Add in an auto crafting option in the crafting bench
It pretty much speaks for itself, it's really annoying just to sit and hold LMB, I'd much rather have an auto craft feature so I can do anything else in the game while I craft things. I am fairly new to the game and have only gotten up to tier 2 on the HUB so there could possibly be something on higher tiers that I don't know about, but if not I and possibly others would love to have an auto craft feature.

Try to start automating as soon as possible rather than relying on the crafting bench and those things you typically will craft by hand, e.g. miners, are produced almost instantly so not a chore.

how long have you been playing for ?

dude play more then a half hour and u have your automated system :D

Thats the whole point of the game. To automate Crafting

Making 50 encased industrial beams on the crafting bench take less time than setting up one Assembler, four Constructors, three Foundries, three Miners, three Splitters, three Mergers, and all of the belts needed to do exactly the same thing.

Just because you're correct doesn't mean you are right.

Yes, the initial setup is pretty slow. Scaling up is quite a bit faster, since a single conveyor can feed one machine or many.

Quite a bit faster, you say?

Alright.

Three Manufacturers
Thirteen Assemblers
Fourty-six Constructors
Four Foundries
Fifteen Smelters
Six Miners
Four Refineries
One Oil Extractor
Thirty Mergers
Fourty-one Splitters
And all the belts.

This includes the previously-mentioned line for the industrial beams, to result in Adaptive Control Units. Wanna say again how it just gets faster?

if you don't derive any satisfaction from automating things you are playing the wrong game.

Also setting up the factory is a one time effort and when next you need the product it is waiting for you to pick it up.

handcrafting is only faster in the short term.

You've set up a straw man for yourself I think.

yeah with 10 smelters and 6 contructors,.. 7 bio burners...

i still run out of ironplates and need to farm manually....

it's part of the game - i DO wish the craft bench would craft faster though m- but it forces you to expand rather then stay idle

You do realise automations greatest achievement os mass production right?

Its worth lies not in the first product or the first 10 even

its in the exponential potential of the whole setup....

try producing the 2000 Frameworks for the Assembly by hand and tell me handcrafting is faster

Sure, but what about the 500 you need for Adaptive Control Units ... or the hundreds (thousands?) you'll want for Mk.4 belts and various other structures?

Why are we (re)building an entire factory for this?

Unless everything up to this point has been hand-crafted, there should already be a Concrete plant and a Steel Mill. So, the only thing needed would be an Assembler and two containers.

Just put a Heavy thing on your Spacebar or on your Mousebutton and go AFK to grap a drink or something else.

Well, the 2 things I would suggest would be to automate your lines to craft stuff. You will need to hand craft items throughout the game at times, but it's best to setup automation on every resource you can- and multiple sources because you will not be producing enough automatically at first to not handcraft also.

2nd thing you should do, assuming your on windows 10.

Go to searchbar near your windows button- go to "Mouse Settings"
on the far right click "additional mouse options"
on the bottom- click "Turn Click Lock On"

Now when you hold the mouse button down for 3 seconds, it will stay "engaged" if you go take a ♥♥♥♥ or take a shower. Get use to this function until you automate your factory- which will be satisfactory when you get that all setup.

Do you want the auto crafting option in order to stand back whilst you're crafting encased uranium cells so you don't take so much radiation damage in the process? hmmm?
