or learn to be patient until people who do communal work get around to the newest update
I've been reliant on mods myself but that was my own -choice-. Personally, I will wait sometime to see if the situation becomes better and then cross the bridge when I have to, but I would never complain about.
The mod makers are doing this out of their free will, time and pockets, and the game is still in development so everyone has to take their own responsibility of that alone to use mods.
Besides, there's always other choices:
- Play another game until the moddmakers have updated their mods.
- Repair and be less dependent on mods.
- Start over.
And the mods just need updating, make sure your Mod Manager is actually checking for updates properly.
I think he just wanted to make sure everyone knew he was an entitled child throwing a tantrum.
Mission accomplished, I say.
It really is pathetic, the number of threads on here from people whining about their mods not working and somehow it's the devs fault. Some people are just clueless.
give the modders a chance bruh!
No more clueless then the Devs who refuse to listen to the people paying their salary thru early access sales....
How many threads asking for a sandbox mode?
How many threads that have stated that the Smart Foundations mod should be included in the game already. In fact, go play 6 hours with the Smart Mod, then go try playing without it and you will see just how much depth this game actually doesn't have.
And I'm sorry, I rather have the fog system fixed before getting flying drones. Even better, why not put COVERED conveyor belts in the game like one mod provides and boom, belt rendering performance issues go away just like that.
The Recipe copier mod is better then their copy/ paste system which is actually rather useless, the lighting mod does a way better job then the lights the devs came up with. Its great that you want me to use lifts and build upwards... Why the hell are there no foundations with holes in them to allow lifts? This should have been in the game from the beginning..
Why attack the user that like many others is starting to show their frustration with the game because I agree, without half the mods that people created in there FREE time for FREE, this game is a time consuming boring as hell game. I'm happy that you and many others that seem to dump on these types of posts have nothing better to do but play 12 hours a day, wasting 6 hours of it laying down stupid foundations one at a time.
I'm seriously starting to think that the devs have never played this game.....
Furthermore, any game company with half a brain will realize that for any game to be long lived, you need a proper mod system built into the game. In fact, if they had mod support built in with a working workshop already..... Half the work they spent on update 4 wouldn't have been needed and it would have allowed them to focus on I don't know, the 6 billion bugs still in the game from many moons ago..
This is why Cities Skylines is still going strong, Its why people still play Skyrim, hell its the main reason why people still play Simcity 4. MODS MODS MODS.....
But as the other person said, it's been 24 hours. Lets give it some time, those mod devs do work for free.
noone has attacked anyone (yet)
and second of all for a person to ask for mod updates and throwing a tantrum over an update that has been online for less than 24h is just that entitlement
now to your own issues
maybe just maybe
some people do not play exactly the way you do...
I for example do not feel the need to play with smart platforms as you proclaimed I would
speak for yourself and close friends you know well not everybody
and for any person with half a brain they would realise that the mod support this game has received despite the fact it is still under development is quite extensive...
and that mods need to update to the changes made ingame it is NOT the fault of developers if mods break that were designed for older versions of the game
never has been and never will be unless said developers actually remove a hook that was designed for modders
all your examples are finished products released years ago... again this game is EA meaning it is NOT finished how big does that disclaimer on the storepage gotta be so that people actually understand what it means?
Agreed
Satisfactory is a fun game, but i get sick of the wall-to-wall predators. Tried a 'passive' mod to eliminate them, but in many cases..... it only made them invisible ---> and try battling an invisible mob that is killing you
I do like the direction that the game is moving, but it requires modders to continually play catch-up with the updates. EA can be rough; may wait until it is full release and stable. Cheers All
Well, bye
Oh grow up.
They have to work on something and time is not infinite, I'd rather see extra content right now than fixes for things that may not be as straight forward as you seem to think they are. Not to mention they could break said fixes during these updates.
Yes, there are some features I'd like to see added to the base game and various things changed, but stop pretending the devs must bow to every whim of the clueless 'consumers' that demand features left, right and centre, as though the devs are accountable to them and them alone.
This game would never get finished and would be a complete mess after trivialising power generation, adding tower defence, blueprinting entire bases in the blink of an eye, adding new biomes, adding new monsters, adding new weapons, adding extra 'maps'. The list of features people insist are 'necessary' is endless.
As for a proper mod system built into the game. Does the term "Early Access" mean anything to you? Because apparently you're just throwing an entitled tantrum just like the OP is.
While you all say OP acts like an entitled child - many here actually demonstrate exactly that very behavior (I'm looking at you ID1OT and Evilsod
Also, just because one starts doesn't mean everybody needs to the same thing. Just a thought. O_o
