Diluted fuel --> Turbo Fuel maths
Anyone done the maths whether it's worth using:
Heavy Oil Residue recipe --> Diluted Fuel Recipe --> either Turbo Fuel recipes (let me know which is better)

Yes. It is the defacto standard Turbofuel recipe.

(Diluted Fuel and Diluted Packaged fuel are equally efficient conversions, though Diluted Fuel is faster and requires more power.)

EDIT: I have not messed with Turbo Blend Fuel (Experimental, Update 4).

EDIT2: I just crunched a few numbers, and the best I can get out of 600 m^3 of Crude Oil using Turbo Blend Fuel is 800 m^3 -- vs 1333 from Turbo Heavy Fuel. (The bottleneck seems to be at Petroleum Coke.)

Petroleum coke really is not a bottle neck. Keep in mind it is produced in high quantanty. 300m3 oil can make 1200 petroleum coke easily.

300m3 oil > 10 refineries (heavy oil residue alt) > 10 refineries (Petroleum Coke) > 1200 petro coke .

Turbo blend fuel uses roughly half less sulfur, but more oil products. In the end the less sulfur usage and lack of need to have compacted coal in the mix is very powerful combination.

If all you're making is Petroleum Coke, sure. But, you also need HOR for the Diluted Fuel and a LOT forthe final recipe, so you can't refine it all into Coke.

In that regard, HOR is the actual bottleneck, since so much more is needed in that recipe.

Saving on Sulfur is a definite plus (Turbo Blend Fuel uses just under a third of the Sulfur). So, I guess that comes down to each player's setup -- how much Sulfur they need and whether 60% less Turbofuel for 333% more Sulfur is worth it to them.

The blended turbo fuel recipe is great with the heavy oil residue recipe. This is also the best spot for this setup me thinks because of the on other is the sulfur you need.

Thanks to the new oil resource node, I'm using 600 oil to produce the needed heavy oil, fuel, and coke.

I need to reload the game to take another count but If I recall, 300 of the 600 possible sulfur from the node on the other side feeds 14 blenders and produces 600 turbo fuel.

Ended up making a bridge of sorts with the blenders to connect the sulfur.

Yeah I set up a 1200 Cr oil system to the west of where Omega posted. Bringing in sulfur and I've got enough Tfuel for 360 generators.

I was thinking of setting up my main base on top of it but I think the fluid mechanics are taking a toll on my computer performance?
Anyone else get that?
