Can you ride the space elevator up?

I have set up a train station and boom tube up to the top of the space elevator and out of curiosity has anyone ever rode the space elevator up as it sent supplies up?

I've built a high staircase, to the top of the elevator, the moving part at least, and what I found out is that it has a physical boundary formed like a sphere. Unless you find a way to disable that in the files, then you cant even get on it.
Not to mention that once you decide to send the elevator upwards, it goes more or less immediatly, maybe it could work, if you could activate the elevator while standing on it. You also would need to disable the height limit and fog, but that people have already found out how to do.
If someone decides to do it, and manage to do it, I would ask them to make a recording of it. I am curious as to how it looks up there.

I do not know if it is true but I read somewhere in the threads here, after a certain height the game kills you.

I rode the pod (didn't try with elevator yet) and you go very high then you hit an invisible wall and the pod get stuck until you jump down (you end up with like 1hp)

Yeah, when you pass a certain height limit, you start loosing health. I think somesone said you can disable the limit, but I'm not sure how.

Well I was expecting that if I could I would get killed but it would be a different way to go.

At the top of the hight limit will be where I build my nuclear waste containers so the radiation won't be a issue

You know the ship that advances you up the tiers, you can jump on that real quick and ride it up, but it pauses at a certain height.
