And a rule of thumbs, the more complex the item is, you shredder, the more coupon points you get.
So, shred supercomputers and more complex items :).
I am collecting coupons by now to buy statues ;)
ladders are the first thing you should unlock imo.
AI limiters. Again, not a lot of points each but simple and relatively quick.
Heat sinks. Many more points than Alcad sheets for a little more effort. The alternative recipes using coal and copper instead of petroleum products frees up limited resources that might be better exploited towards power and other higher tier uses.
Nuclear fuel rods. If you got spares, might as well grind 'em for coupons. Albeit slow production rates.
Turbomotors and supercomputers are among the highest points each but to produce either in bulk can be a massive investment in resources. For example, I'm producing 15 supercomputers/minute. Huge dedicated factory that eats half the caterium on the planet as well as all the oil from the Gold Coast islands. Just in copper sheets alone, that's well over 100 constructors. But when it gets to the point that one coupon costs over 100 million points, it doesn't seem so extreme.
However you gain points, there’s a period where you’ve only got a few coupons, aren’t getting a lot more quickly, and need to decide where best to spend them.
Personally, I’m partial to either the walkways or the wall outlets first. The walkways are MUCH more compact than concrete ramps, and it’s much easier to build a down-walkway than a down ramp.
Down ramps have this issue that won’t attach to other down ramps - you have to build a foundation under the prior down ramp, and you can’t get a line of sight to do it. There are ways around this, I’ve built long ramps in the past, but it’s still a PITA.
Double ramps don’t have that issue, but I’d rather have walkways first.
Ladders look good at first, but they have lots of issues in practice. Main one is that it’s tricky to go down one without falling off. Again, solvable with practice, but walkways are much friendlier.
Wall outlets make getting power into a building much nicer, and I really like that you can place the single wall outlet on ceilings.
Double ramps are probably #3, for the reasons I outlined above. They’re a big help if you need to build a ramp down, and need something you can place power poles and belts on.
The cart kinda bites. I’m using it right now because I can’t build the Explorer yet, but man, it’s awful. Mainly because it can’t handle slopes, any time you catch any air in the cart there’s a good chance it’ll turn around or fall on its side. Still, it’s early transport, so it’s probably #4.
Most of the others are somewhat aesthetic rather than functional. I really like the walls with conveyor holes, but you can usually get the same effect just by not building a wall, and placing a conveyor support. I also like the windows, as they improve visibility while still being walls, but you don’t exactly _need_ them.
2. Foundation Expansion Pack, so you can build your floors out of glass from the start and not have to go back and replace them later.
3. Double Ramp pack, because it lets you ramp up or down and therefore greatly expands your ability to skybridge and obtain things in high places.
4. Everything else.
