I bought the game somewhat recently and I'm getting close to unlock tier 7/8 and so far I have never died in my first 33 hours.
But for people wanting a more "chill" experience, they can deactivate them.
I just don't see the point of having guns and dangerous creatures if the only purpose is to prevent you from exploring "too fast".
Adding more enemies would also make the world more alive.
A boss? Maybe... but it's not one difficult combat somewhere in the world which will improve the combat experience. It will be an additional annoyance and once killed, what will be left?
You just shift your attention from the usual stuff to go hunt a boss for 20min or so.
This statement is plain silly because they already added guns and creatures to kill.
I think the current system is not fun, either keep it or totally remove it to make it a pure factory building without bothering about spiders and stuff.
You can play factorio with or without enemies, 2 different experience but still enjoyable nonetheless and appeal to both players who want action and players who just want peaceful factory building.
If there's an entire mechanic implemented around it, it could be really fun, add some stress and many laugh with friends.
Anyway, I'm just asking about the future of the game right now and what they have planned around that feature or if it will stay the same as what we have now.
Though a bit sad... Anything planned about pollution?
Removing enemies would be stupid. At least they make you plan your route to shards/minerals.
You do smth for like 10min to clean an area, then you never bother about it ever again.
It's a mechanic which only exist to slow you down for a little while.
But here, they created enemies, guns... it takes time for the devs to do all that and in the end, it is as if it wasn't there. Honnestly, with this mechanic "as if", it wouldn't matter if was removed.
Most players would barely notice it's gone.
Once again - this is factory building game.
Yes but there's not enough of that "break", wish there would be more to it.
There i have to disagree with you. There are already plenty of things to fight in the game, and I'm not interested in the tower defense aspect that Factorio had. If i wanted that i'd be playing Factorio or Rimworld right now.
It's very much factory game first, then exploration, with a small amount of combat to keep you on your toes. It doesn't really need to be much more than that...some games take way too much on to do it properly. If you think of a game like space engineers, which has a lot of good ideas, but none were really focussed on and fleshed out, leaving a lot of half thoughts.
I would be happy with satisfactory just being a really good factory builder, and maybe we will see something else come along that can take the factory builder element and combine it really well with a tower defense game. Fortresscraft evolved does a pretty good job of it.
I admit though that Rifle is better than Xeno-Basher when dealing with them.
But I play the game for building and exploring.
Enemies do make game more interesting, but too much enemies will make people play less.
Duh, you can build those super computers in Satisfactory... Once you build them, it improves your processing power.
