Admittedly it's more entertaining to put 10-20 nobelisk on lizard doggos. They stop running away and instead face us and very slowly back up and it breaks the AI.

hm... backing up slowly is a normal behaviour for them if you aproach them slowly, they only start running away if you run for them or try to tough them.
you must have been running after one for quite a while to put a dozen nobelisks on it - have you tested if it switches to slow behaviour again without the dyno, only from running after them for some minutes?

Nah I didn't bother to mess with any of that or figure it out. I just gave up and blew it up. I don't need lizard doggo's for slug farming in this game anyway, I just use a mod that lets us automate crafting power shards from a machine this playthrough. First time around I went around and collected about 2000 power shards worth of slugs the "legitimate way", so second time playing the game I just want shards so did it the cheaty way.

Yes that's a common thing with this game. Doggo's will bring you each of the 3 slugs at random over time. People collect like 20-30 lizard doggo's and put em in a pen just to get slugs easier.

I did that once, stupid bird was blocking my build area, moments later no more birdie lol
