To help with that, make more burners than necessary so you have to refill them less often, and make you less likely to trip your breakers.
If you have an assembly line pumping out solid biofuel, a 5-minute trip into the forest with your chainsaw should give you enough wood/leaves to work in peace for several hours.
there's so much of foliage around, and if you already have the chainsaw you can convert all you harvest into compressed biofuel wich is WAY more effective...
I even unlocked some techs more and went on expeditions after researching coal and before building my first coal generator. and the first was even experimental and only for itself, I kept other factory modules running with biofuel quite a while...
Then there is a bug regarding this as I've harvested the same area of trees 4 times since my new game started, I know this 100% certain as its near my base and always has a fallen log over a rock, it respawns at the same frequency as bushes. Certain areas don't seem to grow back, but others do.
I have to reload the save to cut them down again.
If you ignore this bug the plants are not supposed to come back. So it's best to plan ahead as if that is the case, and for me and the newer game I started that mean just stockpiling lots of alien carapace and alien organs which supplies more than enough biomass for my needs until I get to coal power.
Remember the wiki is run by community members, not the developers. Not everything in the wiki is 1:1 exactly how it works in the game.
If you destroy a plant with a tractor/chainsaw/whatever, that plant will not grow back. So of course its fruit won't either.
Also, quite a few trees and bushes will not grow back. It seems to be random which trees respawn. And they seem to only respawn upon reloading a save, not during an actual playsession.
I have seen bushes and trees grow back many times, never the fruit-bearing plants though. But since you have, it can be confirmed that NOTHING can be confirmed around this topic.
Plants have a mind of their own. Beware.
