Uranium and Hazmat Suits

Can a more experienced player please say what tier a hazmat suit is in, or if it exists at all, because a single chunk of uranium immediately kills me and it is not fun.

Radiation kills pretty slowly. Just eat through the damage, or if you need to transport it, quickly dump it into a container and move it with a belt. Otherwise, why are you holding onto deadly rocks?

Unless you actually have access to Hazmat Suits and Nuclear Power, why are you even picking up Uranium?

It literally kills you and gives you no benefit before then.

This. You have no legit reason to collect Uranium until you have something to use it for, even those stray clumps you find that give you like 30 pieces. Leave it where it is, no one's going to come and steal it from you.

Thanks for the help. The only reason I ever tried mining it was because I thought i could research it in the MAM.

Also Suzaku, Uranium kills me almost immediately only when it's in my inventory, but even when it's out the rad meter is still at full.

Thought of that too until I remembered past me wanting to get rid of a uranium deposit that was sitting somewhere I wanted to build. I gave it a second thought and relocated

Hey, guys. It's me again, almost a year later. I started up a new save file with a friend and guess what? Coffee Stain changed that chunk of uranium near the lake with coal in the forest to a chunk of quartz. I guess I'm not the only one who went through that.

The resource chunks that spawn around the world are random. I think their locations are fixed, but what they will be varies.
