mayhaps you need to learn to understand plain english if you get entitlement off of angry criticisem and having to wait 2 years to play a game on my ONLY online store cause I don't want to have more store & launcher apps on my PC than games.
I make no effort to hide it I'm not a fan of epic game store due to its lack of features, Returns, & BASIC Security Features all these are things my other Store apps DO have and in the case of Blizzard & origin they had them in place at launch (only good thing EA did in the last 10 years) but reguardless of that EPIC's Exclusivity poaching is actually toxic behavior they poached Satisfactory earning the ire of those who were backing the game since day 1, they poached borderlands 3 and again got major backlash in that community to the point that 2K games actually suffered a 10 point drop in their stock value (enough to kill some companies) and they only recovered once they said its exclusivity was only 6 months.
Reasoning for me saying this game should be free on steam is simple the backers expected a PROMISE to be upheld & it was broken for cash that was never needed the games Early Access period was scheduled to start the same day it was dropped from steam & went up on E.G.S.(got bacon?) so they would have mad money to finish the game on steam & MS store app along with XBOX store this is the correct way to sell in multiple apps at the same time total profit could have been far greater than just epic's crap store.
There’s no denying that the EGS is super barebones, but if you were actually SUPER interested in the game, you’d have bought it on EGS. You’re only SOMEWHAT interested.
Your argument is a waste of time; every single digital storefront has exclusives. Hating on EGS without aiming the same hate at Origin, Blizzard, and even Steam means you’re just angry that ANYONE else dared to open another digital storefront. Next up you’ll be spouting the same old garbage about how they “data mine everybody”, because they were initially pulling more data from Steam than they needed to import a friends list. That’s long gone but people still like to pretend it’s happening so they can feel righteously angry.
And demanding a developer release their game for free just because you somehow feel entitled to it is childish behavior. You pretend you know what good business tactics are and then demand a company release their only new product in years for free? Grow up.
So this game, that never offered a kickstarter or preorders on steam, only had plans to maybe release on steam because that would have been the only store around when they planned to release the alpha in late 2018. The epic games store came out and they decided to go to a platform that would allow them to get more revenue to support the game. Quite frankly you don’t know much about this game you probably just saw it on YouTube and went to steam to see it would be available soon. What you post is so uninformed regarding this game, it’s actually quite laughable. You shouldn’t use this game with such a great and inclusive community to vent hate for the epic games store for offering the devs a better way to support this game. Next time you want to hate on a game please at least try to read up on it’s history and devs so you can understand why they make the decision they do. I’m not asking you to agree that it was a good decision for the devs to release on the epic games store I just want you to understand that the devs had a legitimate reason for doing what they did.
