What GPU are you using?
The minimum recommendation on the page says GTX 760 2GB. I still have an old GTX 970 3.5GB in my newer build and the VRAM usage is maxed out even on lower settings. The game runs OK, but I'm not really happy with the FPS. Besides the 2080 SUPER or any other ungodly priced GPU, which GPU's do you guys run to get a good framerate @ 1440p?

I have a gtx 1080, run at 3440x1440 (ultrawide) with a 4790k. My framerate is mostly quite smooth.

evga GTX 970 here. I run at about medium settings (1080p), it's customized though. Higher res could be using more cpu though. ANd I can see you already know about the partitioned vram on those cards, so I dont need to tell you about the possible performance hit for exceeding the 3.5. I tend to get at least 60fps. I prefer more but 60 is enough. I'm also using a core i5 3570k. I do have the draw distance set to ultra last I looked. I don't recall how much vram it's using. But If you are having issues with framerate, it could be your cpu?

No matter how strong of a PC you have, you won't escape framedrops and sub 30fps. It will get you, it's just a matter of time.

I have a 1080ti, 2700x, I play max settings 1440p. When you start the game, it's well over 60fps, approaching 144 sometimes. But once you start building your base, it will gradually start dropping. If you build enough, your game will start running like crap. There is no escape, a better graphics card simply prolongues the process.

Its not on steam for sale yet, so you asking here even that you buy it on epic ?
RTX 2080, but what you do need is a cpu with a strong singlecore performance as even with my 8700k, i don't get more than 46 fps in my thicc ass compact base with nothing more than 40% cpu usage and 70% gpu.

I feel like this was far worse when the game first launched compared to now. The stable branch for update 2 seems to handle my factory fairly well. I'm sure optimization will get more attention as development progresses.

I have a GTX 750 TI (actually GTX 860m but it's exactly the same), and the game looks quite good and runs surprisingly well on 1080p medium settings and 103 FOV.
I usually have around 40 FPS, which can go down to around 20 FPS at worst when within a mega-factory.
Even with such a low FPS I have no input lag issues.

yeah they made a very major optimization patch around this summer, it almost doubled my FPS.

Ryzen 3700x
Radeon Rx 5700xt
16gb 3200 CL14 RAM

Play at 1440p, 144hz monitor, freesynch, max settings

My frame rate is usually very smooth.

Factory tick parallelisation: Spreading out the factory tick over more cores if available. This can considerably improve factory performance, depending on the CPU.

Should run better now.

I'm playing on a relatives account until it comes to STEAM.
i7 3690x
16gb 1866mhz Cl8 Markvision
Gtx 690 4gb

Running on 2560 x 1440p working above 138fps, but with a large factory runs around 106 ~ 98fps quite smooth even.

I don't understand, why would you lie?

Tried to copy my post format and failed.

Lie though?

No those parts exist. They are very high end, for 2011 time period.

Yes I highly doubt that sysyem could do 1440p, 1080p is more believable.
