how to program the programable splitter?
I cant find any commands like "when" "if" and so on to program the splitter. Does anyone have a trick how to use the splitter?

They are only programmed with “what” statements. Aka you can tell it to send item A to the left and Item B down the middle but thats about it

Have not messed with them in update 3 yet tbh

There are mods out there that add logical choices like if statements, but no idea if they will work in experimental

Just edited my post, but yea they are kinda useless.

Mostly because mixed belts are troublesome AF

I want to redirect items to the sink only if the center output (storage box) is full.

Some more info on this topic
lol the same thing i want to do. :)

I found a solution with 5 normal splitters and 5 mergers to fill 99,6% of the load into the storage box and shred 100% of the load only if the storage box is completely full.

Load -> S1 -> S2 -> S3 -> S4 -> S5 -> Sink (0,41% if storage not full/100% if storage is full)
______ ↓ ↓ __ ↓ ↓ _ ↓ ↓ _ ↓ ↓ __ ↓ ↓
______ M1 -> M2 -> M3 ->M4 ->M5 -> Storage (99,6% if not full)

Interesting solution which reminds me of how complicated 8 to 8 load balancer is in Factorio.
