If your intention is to split them equally between 5 machines and you have enough input to run them all properly, then the simple is: Don't.

Use a manifold. Run the belt along and use a splitter to send it into each machine. Once the first one fills up, it overfills to the next, and so on. It takes a short time to reach a steady state, but it works perfectly and is a hell of a lot better. Less space, less construction, fewer headaches.

Manifold is easiest to implement and most compact, but takes time to ramp up if you don't pre-load the machines. Not a big deal, it'll get there eventully. If you insist on a 1:5 split, take a look at this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/b5k4o0/how_to_split_one_belt_equally_into_5_your_welcome/. This balances out in about a minute regardless of rate, but as you can see, you need like 3x the room a manifold would need.

Keep in mind the belt between the merger and first splitter needs to be able to handle the increased rate of the initial input + 1/6 of that being fed back in. So if your input is 60, that one belt needs to be a mark 2 at least to handle 70.
