Suggestion: Snowy mountain biome.
Feels like it'd be a fun change of scenery.

Yeah, snow is about the only major environment that's missing. However, not something that would make sense with the current map. Also, they won't be making any major changes to the existing map, nor will they offer more maps. We'll just have to do without snow.

You heard that from the devs ? That'd be a bummer if that's the case. There are some lands south west and north of the map that sit on the boundary, I hope it was a work in progress...

Haven't heard directly but I've seen a few people I trust say that devs said there won't be more maps or extensions to the existing ones. However, they might rework some of the biomes that are less appealing, like they did with the dunes. Maybe there is a new biome planned for one of those areas, who knows. Still, snow wouldn't make much sense, and they have been very consistent about having things make sense.

But you know, plans change. There's always a maybe for brand new things.

I would expect a new map or maps in a future DLC or something. We will most likely be stuck with this one map until the game is officially released though.

No. No snow. Snow is pain if done wrong, and almost impossible to do right.

To experience a bad snow biome, open a new tab in your browser and soak in that bright white.

I agree that snow wouldn't really fit this map, though it might work on a really tall mountain or such.

Tbh snow could fit in this map. There's this game called The Forest where 70% of the map is a warm pine forest, but if you go north there's a wholr snow biome and the transition is smooth.
Seeing how particular and fantastic the environment is in this game, I would totally trust map makers to create an outstanding snow biome
But I'd be dreaming I guess, the map is already huge, diverse and well made. When I think about it I doubt they'd invest development time in the map. But it'd be cool

Reason I suggested snow mountain is because that is potentially the only way a snow biome could maybe work is if the altitude is high enough. They still have some areas clearly being worked on I saw when exploring, so we'll see what they think of.
