They did not. It's actually been described to us that the player model is female by the developers in a youtube stream. The player model is female. Deal with it.

I know that many guys playing MMORPGs create a female character for themselves.

I think it’s not a matter of dislike for women, but a lack of choice.
Perhaps the developers managed to create such a level of immersion in the gameplay that a person begins to associate himself with the character.
Yes, indeed, developers should think about character customization.
I understand that this is difficult to do, but the game has a lot of potential.

This thread was an exception since the OP just asked. You can see a very clear trend in the attitudes of the people that create threads on this topic and make it into a 'problem'. Lack of choice has nothing to do with it.

I'm not making excuses anyone.
I'm talking about empowering the game.
I have no problem in "The Witcher 3" or in ... "Alien: Isolation" where the character's story is clearly spelled out.
In Far Cry 5, you will never see your character from the outside, his story is written down to a minimum.
In Far Cry 5, you play a running weapon, but in the game the ability to customize your character is there.

The fact that people rude express what they think does not make character customization something disgusting.

It was just an opinion.
