Font Color Tweaking

Is there any way to tweak the UI fonts used color-wise? The orange used to indicate important things like efficiency is really hard to read on the grey-white background.

Orange and white is a known no-no for legible text. The devteam has a suggestion post that was merged into a colorblind thead - but its not the same thing. My girlfriend is completely unable to play the game because of the white on orange (un-changable) font color. Once the UI can be modified this wont be an issue but its ridiculous they havent addressed this already.

The orange on white accessibility issue is a longstanding known 'thing' which is why it is so disappointing they have not simply added the option to customize the UI colorset, or a variety of UI color themes that can be changed, one of which is high contrast for people who cant see for ____.
