Which is better?
Would you say No Man Sky or this game is a bit more fun? I see this game has overwhelming positive reviews. Been looking for a building game that can keep me entertained.

It depends what your interested in.
I would personally ask the following.
"Which is better? Factorio or Satisfactory?"
To which I'll answer, both are equally good. :3

I would say factorio sucks but thats because its 2D. To each their own yeah?
Well, the whole point of this is that it is extremely grindy. But it's a fun grind. You automate everything to do the grind for you. The grind is how efficient you can make your factory, to do the work for you. You go from manually mining ore to having the darn thing produce bullets for you, or automating coal to your factory that sends iron plates to your other machines to make four different components that make four other components so you can make this one machine to make another machine. It's a grindfest but such a rewarding one at that. No mans sky had me for about 10 hours, this game has had me for a little under 10 but I don't see myself getting bored as I did with NMS.

Satisfactory and NMS don't really have much in common. If I had to judge based strictly on entertainment value, i'd say they are about the same. If you like building automated factories (ie: modded minecraft), go with Satisfactory. In NMS, you travel between star systems, land on planets, walk around gathering resources, go to space stations and trade, etc. It's nothing like Satisfactory.

I've just uninstalled NMS right after I put another ~30 hours in (that stuff can be addicting) because the inconsitent bases nearly made me rage. Lost approx 500mil units just in those 30h because of inconsistent refineries. Its also no fun when you fall 3 stories through the floor bc of base glitches.
NMS is a horrible mess of bugs and cluttered with old systems interfering with new additions.
Its sad but its still trash even though there is lots of potential.

I didn't play satisfactory yet but some of my friends do and they really like it. (apart from the fact thats its far from finished and you basically reach a point where your products are worthless)

I'd say you should try satisfactory bc you don't like 2D (I love factorio tbh) but I really can't recommend NMS anymore even though I liked it for years.
Yeah, No Man's Sky is repetitive. It's not as good for building as Satisfactory either, but if you really want a building game try Space Engineers or something similar.

Played around 100hrs on both games, I'd recomend Satisfactory over NMS personally. Especially because you're looking for a building game, unless the building you implied is cosmetic decor building because then you might be better off with NMS as it's more cosmetic building than practial advance the game building.
Satisfactory has the better ladders. Ladders in NMS will make you long for the days of hl2 ladders.

get NMS now and wait for satisfactory release.
I haven't played either, but what sane person would honestly talk about eating anything that looked like donald trump?

This is what I would say, too. They're both good, but don't have enough in common to really compare them with each other.
They're SO different...
But honestly, I found NMS kind of boring...tedious, even.

Satisfactory is just so....
...satisfying.

There's a reason the ratings are high. People are playing this game for days straight and forgetting to eat, sleep...

Ya, it's good.
I'm a beginner here but i've played NMS extensively.

NMS is pretty huge easy chill RNG simulator... base building exists, but it's about half finished. NMS is about exploring RNG worlds with slight variations, finding RNG ships with slight variations, etc. NMS tends to be 10 miles wide and 1/2 inch thick.

SF is an extensive building/crafting game with a small amount of RNG and exploring.

so very different games, really
