Tera forming?
Would be cool if you could dig though mountains to make neater and more efficient routes for everything, like in no mans sky.

Nope. We will never be able to edit the terrain in this game. That's not part of the game. We have one landscape and we have to cope with it.

this actually seems like a good idea i was looking for a power slug once and it was glitched in the middle of the rock with this not only could we make beautiful natural looking places me and possibly other people could get otherwise impossible barriers for things like glitched power slugs and other things but being able to just instantly and with no cost to tera form anything would be too op so it gonna have to cost something to do so

You gotta blow them rocks up, thats basically the only tera forming we can do currently.

Terrain changing is super hard to code and, if this game never had it in mind it would mean a huge overhaul. Most likely it is already not an option due to logistics along.

In my first play through in the game I went on a quest to find slugs and I collected all the slugs on the map except for about 2 of em. And those two were underneath the terrain or other "serious glitches" that we can't even get access to (Can't even see them as the player). All other slugs on the map we can get them. When they are "Stuck in the middle of the rock" that's an explosive rock you have to blow up See here: https://satisfactory.gamepedia.com/Nobelisk_Detonator

A lot of slugs you have to use the chainsaw to remove trees and coral to get to. But you should be able to get to almost all the slugs in the map.

If you make a game terraformable then you need to build the game around it.

Subnautica went through this. For a while you could terraform / delete pretty much anything. The further along it went though, the worse performance got, as it basically loaded the map and then had to figure out how it was modified. They dropped terraforming in early access and the performance shot up.
