How to use Shortcuts
How can I use shortcuts? I can see there are 4 items on the ui on the middle bottom, but the rest of it is empty, how can i add more?

Go into the build meni
hover with mouse over the item you want to add to the shortcuts
press the corresponding number.

And, as extra, you have ten of such bars, which you can scroll through with alt-mousewheel.

is there any option to select hotbars directly instead of having to scroll through several of them to get to a specific one?

i find it annoying that i have to sometimes scroll by 1, sometimes by 2, sometimes by 9 (if i didn't notice on which hotbar i was on and that scrolling by -1 would be faster), etc, depending on which hotbar is currently active. it would be so nice if i could use eg shift-1 to shift-0 to select a specific hotbar and then 1 to 0 to select a button on it: 100 functions available directly with only 2 keystrokes. currently, using Q and directly clicking often is faster for me, and would be even faster when the machines were arranged differently to have no need for scrolling the screen.
