Pipe dont work right
So, I'm placing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2.2 km pipeline cus of the game already retarded ass resource distribution, and now, apparently, pumps dont make fluids go uphill. Each time I play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pump, NO FLUID beyond it. Fluid behind it, it's pumping, but no fluid going up the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pipe. What the ♥♥♥♥ am I doing wrong? The pumps are powered, and pumping, nothing apparently.

Post screenshots, it'll help determine the issue.

I placed pumps and noticed afterwards it has a arrow when placing showing the flow direction.
Sounds like same mistake maybe.

Yeah as OMP said look at the direction of pumps when piping. They are like a safety latch that prevent backwards pumping. Avoid going up with pipes if possible. Pumps only pump upto 5 4m foundations upwards as well... (so 20m high). By default the water gen/oil pump has a base uplift of 10m. These do not combine together... When you place a pump that resets the lift back to 20m... It's a pain in the ass to do... But it's upto you overall.

Later on you'll get trains so that will fix alot of transport issues (if it is oil).

It is actually is to create an upward flow if you know what you are doing. The tallest upward flow pipe I had going with no trouble was around 35 meters with 2 pumps working together.

Transfering fluid over a long distance can take a long time fill up each section depending on how much the uplift is, and it doesn't hurt to distribute the pumps evenly every 10 meter no matter how steap it goes (it's actually recomended).

However, I did come a cross an instance where putting in a pump just snippet the pipe. Removing the pump revealed that there was now two seperate sections. Removing and re-construct the pipe section and the pump again solved that issue.

It was pointed the right way, I even removed the pump, rebuilt the pipe, got oil flowing through it, slowly, and when I put the pump back on, the oil past it just vanishes, gone, like it's being pumped into the void.

If you want to fill up a new water pipe faster, connect three pumps and fill that thing like you mean it.

It's an oil pipe

Your pumps are on backwards

Again, as I have said, they are no backwards. I'll try to get a screenshot of them later today, but I know which way to point a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arrow, it's setup kindergarten easy, and no, my pumps are not backwards, I've made sure.

I'm currently trapped at a pipe, with a pump on it, at the start of an incline, the previous pump is facing the same way and is sending me oil, this pump claims to be pumping, but no oil appears in the pipeline beyond it. It's like the pump is pumping the oil into a void pocket instead of the pipe.

Check your pipe connections, you may have a disconnected section that is really really small.
Dinkleberg Jul 5, 2020 @ 5:21pm
You can try to make a cross section and try any of the 3 remaining docks to looks if there is one that pumps the oil.

Try isolating sections of the pipe and see how far the flow gets. Maybe also try to use electric pumps and then raise the connections up 10-20m and let the fluid flow downhill from there.

Illiteracy is at an all-time high. SMDH. Read, people.

I had this same problem in my 1st save: suddenly, my oil pumps stopped working. I deleted sections and rebuilt them. I deleted the stacked supports they were connected to and rebuilt them, and redid the pipes to and from them.

I had a full pipe -> a stackable support -> and then an empty pipe. I put 3 pumps on a full pipe and they would not pump into the empty pipe. The full pipe was on level ground, and the empty pipe was going down a slope, quite sharply, so there should have been oil in that pipe.

Further along the same line, I had another full pipe sandwiched between 2 empty pipes.

It's some sort of bug. Do you have nuclear reactors built anywhere? They don't have to be up and running, just built.

It turns out it was a significant lack of pressure from down the line, the first pump up the hill was getting the oil to the second pump, so that it was pumping, but I believe the oil the second pump was pumping was just backflowing down the hill because of a lack of back pressure. I fixed one of the extractors, and it gave me alot more pressure and fixed the problem. The pump was pumping, but the oil going up the pipe had nothing behind it to keep it from coming back down the pipe.
