Roads?

Is there any mods out there that let you lay down roads the same way you can conveyors? Being able to have a purpose built 2 lane road that you can click and drag across the landscape would make it much easier to set up truck lines.

also would be useful to have intersections.

I don't understand why this isn't in game already. If you want to build a road, which you really have to in some situations due to terrain...or a bridge. You have very little option to make something that looks elegant

I can second the using foundations tip. i pretty much make roads for my trucks using that, sometimes painting them. it does the job well enough for now until they create something specific for roads.

yea I use foundations already but thing about being able to drag them from point to point like conveyors. with foundations it takes forever and you can not easily make a 45 degree turn and a gentle curve is very labor intensive.

Having long range transportation for trucks isn't really worth it. Trains are better at it, having massively higher throughput whilst taking less space than a truck depot with similar throughput.

sadly, we don't have any mods for this yet. the best we have are some mods that make it easier to do curves with foundations, plus a mod that lets you edit the positioning/rotation of things after you place them.

There IS a very alpha mod for doing this with walkways, but it warns it's kinda janky.


i, also, agree that we should have some way of painting roads the way we can belts and trains.

I just got trains unlocks and have ran many miles of track...... I think the same placing system could be used for Road/Truckstops, just change the rails to look like a road, volia

Exactly yes. I said belts because I have yet to unlock trains.
