conveyor belt stopped working

for some reason my conveyor belt has stopped working,,, its a simple setup where i have two storage containers feeding into an assembler.

I have tried emptying the storage and replacing the items but the assembler dosnt seem to want the items... i have had this setup running for 3 days with no problem. the other conveyor feeding the other materials is still running.

Make sure there is no other material on belt inside assembler.

yes i found this to be the issue thank you. wish there was an indicator for these types of problems. also it was 1 single item.... and was unable to pick it up and had to delete the conveyor so hopfully that fix is in the pipeline for the devs

Do not feed different items on a belt until you have smart splitters with the overflow option.

It has been like that since alpha, and Doubt this is on high priority to fix.
Just make sure you don't mix materials, so you will not have any issues like that.

oh smart filters sound fun. would save me having to make seperate storage for everything. im still new but really enjoying the game

I am kinda new to this aswell so I'll let you decide if you want a hint that took me a while to find ;)


You can get Smart splitters kinda quickly by going to an caterium ore and gather up some and using mam to research the Caterium tree.
Needed materials to get to the smart splitter:

Total Caterium Ore: 390
Total Iron Ore: 600
Total Copper Ore: 200


Also while in there I recommend getting the blade runner and mk2 pole

dont think i have found any of that ore as yet. just unlocked tier 4 and almost finished the space lift to unlock more. was expecting the smart filter to be in the next tiers. well guess im on the hunt for caterium
