Why does production stop?
I cant figure out why all production and automated assembly keeps stopping. Anyone out there with an answer?

Your power turned off? Everything is full?

to further the inquiry, i cant figure out why each time i step away from my game all production ceases, i cant figure it out.

yes, all biomass burners are loaded as well with all storage feeding the constructors and assemblers

I'm not really sure what to say. You're not giving me much to go on except "it doesn't work".

i load all burners and storages (if applicable) and make sure that the drills are active as well. then exit game back to desktop expecting to come back to far more resources gathered when next i load the game, but all production has seased and i have nothing to show for the wait. am i doing something wrong ?

No, the game probably should be running while minimized.

I've been having a similar issue today. Had a couple of machines quit producing, while powered and having the correct resources. Had to disconnect the conveyor leading in, and reconnect, then it worked fine. Obviously, i'm not talking about the SINK with un-sinkable items. :P

"exit game to desktop"

Ok, are you merely alt-tabbing away from the game, with the game still running minimized, or are you opening the menu and selecting "exit to desktop"?

You had something on the belt that wasn't part of the plan.

If you leave/close the game, or even just go to the main menu everything stops. It doesn't run in the background persistently unless you leave the game minimised and loaded into your save game.

If you turn the game off, it is off

I had that bug today with my bauxite refineries. Everything was full and the belt was clear. I had to flush the water out of my 4th bauxite refinery before things started up again. Pretty weird but hey, its early access.

It's not a bug. All discharges have to go somewhere, or else production stops. With bauxite, you end up with water after the Alumina Solution makes aluminum scrap. That water has to go somewhere.
If a recipe indicates that it is producing a liquid and a solid, both of them must go somewhere. If either of those is a dead-end, you'll have to manually clear them.

Loop the water back into the start of the process. Or use it to make sulfuric acid. Or use it to make packaged water and run that into a sink.

Im using it to feed directly into my 4th refinery. its underclocked to use up 75m3 of water and the alumina solution is overclocked to produce 75 water. Its bugged.
