Pause in Singleplayer
Can we 'fully' pause the game in singleplayer to stop everything?

I can verify that :

1. Pause works from the console.
2. If you do the 'set to F6' instructions, you can open the console with the F6 key.. If Shift-Ctrl-L does not work for your keyboard setup.

I hear there's a console command that pauses the game, but I've not tried it before. Other than that, there's no actual pause function in the game at this time.

Enter "Pause" in the console to pause the game

Who thought disabling the ability to pause in a single-player game was a good idea?

Why pause it though? You need lot of parts just let it run so you can build up supply

If there is no monster around nothing is going to come and kill you. Look around, don't see a monster then you are safe.

Or you can just Fortnite that sucker and build an entire base with foundations and walls in seconds. If you're out exploring, you're going to have concrete, iron plates, and iron rods with you if you're smart.

This. When I'm out and about and it gets dark, I build myself a safe room off the ground and wait for the sun to come up. Get the Foundations pack from the Awesome Shop, it has Glass Foundations so you can see. You can also get windowed walls.

Feed items to the Awesome Sink to earn enough points to get coupons. Press the print coupon button to get coupons. Purchase items from the Awesome Shop while the coupons are in your inventory.

The Awesome Shop bugs out occasionally at this time, and the purchase might not work. Simply rebuilding the shop and trying again seems to work.

Blueprints for new building parts like walls, ramps, foundations, etc., are only purchased once to permanently unlock them. Parts like motors, computers, inhalers, etc., are purchased in large batches, and may be bought multiple times.

@Willow Rivers. Or alternatively you can just have a button that every other game has because gamers have found it useful for the last 30 years.

A bit late to the party but since I just started playing and found this, yeah... they really need to add pause support to single-player. I do a lot of gaming while I work so I'm always alt-tabbing around. This might be a relatively safe game to just AFK in the middle of and leave running, but it'll still make me nervous.
