Render Resolution Scale and Ultrawide support
Since you can't have both exclusive fullscreen and a 5120x1440 resolution at the same time, a render resolution scale would be useful.
Using borderless windowed fullscreen works with said resolution.

However if enabling exclusive fullscreen it defaults res to 3840x1080.

If you use "-dx12" launch flag exclusive fullscreen and 5120x1440 almost works until you load a map. Then the game CTD.

Seems it's a UE4 issue.

TLDR: add render resolution scale pls thanks

EDIT: the game also crops in like crazy when using an ultrawide monitor. Higher FOV, such as 140, kinda works except it stretches the image on the sides making objects look closer than they actually are.

Anyone know if ultrawide support is planned? I hope it is..

I hope too; kinda unplayable as is now.
I'm very exiting to go back and I really hope they consider it

The vast majority of games are not designed or even have an engine that is capable of triple+ standard resolutions. And while it is mostly an engine problem that can be fixed, the developers would have to make a properly scaling UI and very few bother to do so.

I'm just really sad that game engines still use an ancient camera system that still uses 'round lenses' when clearly everything on a computer is rectangular... Even raytracing, while a great thing that has existed since the 80's, still uses a spherical geometry system.
Until we stop using those methods, we're always going to have wonky FOV systems in games where the middle of the screen is nice and crisp and at the right geometry and the edges are just stretched as all hell and cropped like crazy.

+1 for 32:9 (5120x1440) widescreen support!

I don't understand why gamers buy a 32:9 monitor and then get mad when a game doesn't support that resolution. Almost no one has a 32:9 monitor and to but such a monitor and expect your games to work correctly is just silly.

I bought this a year ago and stoped playing because it forces Fullscreen as it doesn't support widescreen. Come back after 1.0 release and still not supproted :♥♥♥♥:
It is supported (or at least well enough)
Options > Video > Camera > Maintain Y Axis FOV Aspect Ratio

I don't understand why trolls resurrect 4 year old dead threads to whinge about other people airing their grievences.

You remind me why I never post on discussion boards and when I do I regret it.
No matter what, there is always some aggressively negative butt hole who has an opinion on the subject, even when they have no idea what they're talking about.
I never said I had a 32:9 monitor but what would that matter to the likes of you?

I didn't buy my 32:9 for games but I would like to use it, for them, when possible.
This game work fine in 32:9 just the hand equipment 1st Person FOV slider no longer goes under 1 (I used 0.8 in update 8) so I can't see the Object scanner bar, now.

Yeah, I used to use .7 or .8.. I find myself doing a lot of jumping in the hopes the hands come up briefly for me to catch a glimpse of the bar... It's been reported. The equipment shaders go all wonky below 1 with the current implementation. They haven't decided if it's something they'll fix yet. https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/post/66e074b2772a987f4a8a9ada

It screws up the FOV settings (by enforcing the vertical FOV scaling for all scenes), but it's preferable to the alternative until patched. Great find.
