Does building ever get easier?

I wonder if at some point in the game there are technologies that speed up the process of building the factory? I like the game overall, but after playing non stop for the first few days I came to a point where I was turned off the the exponential grind of building the factory.

In factorio for example building a factory gets easier over time, and at some point later in the game entire production lines can be copy/paste or deleted in seconds which shifts the focus from building brick by brick to designing and solving bigger issues. I just wonder if there is anything like that in this game?

No, there's not. There is a mass delete, but that's in from the beginning.

Well the more resources you automate the more resources you have overall for building. Also building backwards seems to be the easiest way to build a factory overall...

No. However you learn certain tricks with experience and practice. Like fast wall and foundation planting.

There is a community mod "area action mod" available to mass create. It takes a little getting used to, but after that, its simple.
