Reasons are :
1 Devs want to have game just like in minecraft, you build piece by piece.
2 There is problem with connections on belts and machines.
3 Having blueprints, people will build the factories too large, and come to the point when the game will not be able to run any more, and will just crash.
All this was in last week Stream.
Solution there is to make sure you build it all on grid.
The map is ginormous. I plain refuse to accept that you have somehow run out of space, even if you refuse to build vertically at any point. Stop trying to squeeze everything together - give stuff room to breathe, and you have plenty of splitter/merger space.
So, nope, not minecraft, and not gonna be.
That's gotta get fixed anyways, so not really a permanent barrier.
Lack of blueprints will 100% Not Prevent this from happening. A too-large factory is just build and build and build more, blueprints aren't needed to do that.
Or how about a little creative mode like minecraft where we use to practice redstones? cuz i found connecting belts and cable is just like using redstone .
Creative mode will be close to version 1.0
This is another reason why other factories "at the competitor's game" are always larger and more optimized.
