Is there some kind of dropper?
I've been looking around on the wiki and I found that nuclear waste is a thing which is supposedly hard to get rid of. I thought about ways of getting rid of it (once I reach that point in the game), and I decided that I'll just drop it off the cliff into the void. Is this actually possible though?

Sure. I don't actually know if loose items will despawn eventually, but you could definitely just build a scaffold over a cliff edge, fill your inventory and deconstruct a full container of waste.

Not sure if you can put waste into the shop...that'd be hilarious.

It is possible, but not recommended. You can load a truck up with it and drive it into the void, but the truck doesn't get destroyed. This results in the truck constantly falling, which can eventually harm your game's performance.

If you want to get rid of waste, just make a large storage chain in the middle of nowhere and forget it existed.

I built a storage facility over the void and linked it by train...seems to work well.

It's best not to jsut drop it into the void, as vehicles do not despawn.

I dont think containers despawn either.

doesn't the box stuck in air?

Uh could be? I've honestly never deconstructed anything in mid air. But yeah alternatively you could just build a bunker in a remote location connected by train.
Err, I'm not positive, but maybe see if you can hook it up to a resource sink? doubt it gives you anything towards coupons, but hopefully it still grinds them up.
(edit: Looked it up, guess not, but will leave the comment here regardless so people can learn)

Can't grind waste.

Not sure how well it works or anything in terms of this spawning business, but a guy on youtube made a ramp with the faster tier belts, loaded up his charater with nothing but nuclear waste jumped on the belt getting shot way into the void to his death along with the waste...

spawn back at hub

No breeder reactors in this game, huh?

You cannot get rid of nuclear waste. dismantling storage containers of it, even midair, will just spawn the items that dont fit in your inventory in a grey small storage crate, floating in the spot of the structure you dismantled.
There is no gravity, so dropping items out of your inventory will just make them float midair.
Throwing trucks off the map doesn't usually despawn them causing lag in your game so that's a bad idea too.

The only *real* way to delete waste is to shove it in a lizard doggo inventory and killing the doggo afterwards.

just dont make nuclear power plants aka no problems...

There is only 1 method to get rid of nuclear waste but it is cruel. If you tame a doggo with a berry you can equip the doggos one slot with up to 500 nuclear waste. Then kill it. When its body disappears so does the waste.

Was wondering about this. I haven't gotten to the point where I can make nuclear power plants yet, but my doggo occasionally fetches nuclear waste from somewhere. Currently have it all sitting in a container well outside of my base perimeter, not sure what else to do with it.

Find a large underground cavern, fill it with storage boxes and leave it in there.

In the future years you will have giant mutant spiders to deal with.

There are mods that allow you to get rid of items such as nuclear waste, so if you want to do that you can get them.
