Turning off motion blur sometimes helps too.
Try playing around with the VSync, Field of View and Motion Blur settings in the Video Options, see if it helps.
Or it might even be TAA.(this also causes blurriness, which might be why increasing the resolution helped)
2. The FOV isn't high enough for how close you are to the monitor.
Adjust those two things over time so you don't strain your eyes trying to focus too close.
Literally the worst feature ever... hey can we make the game look worse and way more resource intensive?
