How to use the chainsaw?

I just made my first chainsaw and I'm assuming it needs a fuel source. But how?

You need to craft some sort of fuel, the one you'll probably have access to at this point would be biofuel. Need to have some canisters of it in your inventory to use the chainsaw.

The chainsaw uses solid biofuel. Just having some in your inventory is enough. As for how to produce it - turn stuff like leaves, wood, alien carapaces and alien organs into biomass, then turn the biomass into solid biofuel. You can automate this with constructors.

Solid Biofuel is unlocked in the same Tier as the chainsaw, you use that to power it. Solid Biofuel is made from Biomass.

Also you just need to walk up to a tree and get it so it has the white highlight then just hold down the left mouse button. It will cut down the tree and anything else shrub related in the area. Makes it a lot easier to just run up to a tree and clear out the plants around it in one go instead of spamming E all the time.
