Steam vs EGS version
The devs obviously needed a cash injection at the time so flipped to an EGS exclusive which in the business world is completely understandable.

If you bought it on EGS good for you.
If you waited for steam release, good for you.
If your buying on both platforms to support the devs, good for you.
If your still complaining about EGS release, just let is go.

The haters of EGS can be broken down like this.

2% of people understand why EGS at launch was hated. 4% of people understand why EGS is lacking non-essential features but still it's a problem for them which is fair enough we all have our preferences, 94% of people just hate it because it’s the cool kid club these days and actually just follow the hate for a platform like sheep.

Steam has got complacent over the years and some good competition is needed. Devs are rewarded better on EGS but players have lack of features whilst EGS grows which takes time.

EGS will be a serious contender in the future, they are not investing hundreds of millions for it to fail. Although there is 1 little flaw I see. All it takes is for Steam to match the EGS developer payout percentages which will be good for developers and ultimately players so devs get rewarded more for their work. Even if this happens it won't kill EGS it will just level the playing field for Dev payouts which is still a good thing all round.

I dislike steam achievements and steam level so if EGS do something more along the lines of Xbox Gamerscore from achievements then I will have a huge library of FREE yes FREE games on EGS by then. I already have over 50 games worth over £700 completely for free by logging in to use EGS weekly. Just waiting for the platform to be polished a bit further.

Just give it time and it'll be as full featured as Steam. Most of the kids on Steam don't remember that Steam was a hot mess when it launched and it took years for it to get all the features it has today.

Yep, I agree. It's the same as EA. Everyone just goes "hurr durr iT's bAD!" only because it's the cool thing to do. I've asked people who hate on EGS and they can't come up with a solid reason.

I’m glad the Epic store is about Valve have a monopoly and Steam has turned into a cesspool! It’s full of scams and unfinished EA games! And judging by this forum a pretty poor community

I prefer to have all my games in one place. I bought a couple games on GOG awhile back. Went to play one again and thought I was going nuts because it wasn't in my Steam library, so I bought it again only to realize later I owned it at GOG. Its easier to have things in one place.

I don't have a problem with Epic existing and in fact competition is good. I do have a problem with exclusivity. So given above preference plus extreme dislike of Epic pushing exclusives means I don't and won't use Epic.

You're*. Also EGS can suck a big one.

???? Tell me why I need to buy the game in the platform that isn't cheap than steam and
service isn't better than steam. You say Epic will be good. OK, I can wait until Epic as good as Steam. But it isn't now.

It's a storefront. Jesus H christ on a petri dish. You click buy, download the game and never have to look at the dang thing ever again. The first world problems are real.

Wow...So many Epic Fanboys here. What are you doing here? Go to EGS forums. Ah yes...There's none.
Ans just to insert my two cents. Other storefronts had more features at launch than EGS. Fricking Origin had more that EGS does. Besides it's not 2003 anymore, so making a storefront in this day and age, with practicaly zero standard features is strange to say the least. EGS is worse in all aspects. But hey you can continue sucking Timmy's dic*. It will be so funny to watch how people will change their opinion, once EGS stops giving out free games, and will not have exclusives to goad people into using their fail store :D

And thank god - Because the Steam forums disappoint as always. Toxic posts aplenty, trolls, flamebaiting and so on.

Nice joke there. And thinking that it's actualy good, that devs and players can't communicate is golden. No surprise that lot's of games that went exclusive to EGS(mostly those in EA) are still far from being complete. Like they havent spent atleast a year, with safe money from Epic.

Almost no meaningful developer / consumer interaction takes place on Steam forums. It is a toxic hellhole with few competitors at that level.

Every decent developer uses their own forum/bug-reporting infrastructure and/or Discord for meaningful discussion. Satisfactory included.

Whatever you say mate. Of course there will be super toxic people, but it's not like other forums dont have those. They are everywhere. And i myself used Steam forums for diffrent reasons alot. I wouldn't say it's the worst in terms of toxicity. It's still better to have an easy to access way of communicating with dev's.

Also...Just because you dont need something, doesn't mean it's not needed for someone else.:leaSmug:

That's where you are wrong. Moderation (and the tools available to moderators) are a lot better on other forums. I invite you to try and post most of the ♥♥♥♥♥ that's been locked or removed in the past 24 hours here on a proper forum.

You'd be banned before you could hit submit. Moderation on Steam forums is a joke - Even with volunteers trying to fill the ship sized gaps.

i Think epic would be good when its more like steam (features mainly).

I dont think there is spyware. Because Huawei is like Epic, random id**ts like Trump says its China and there Products are all Spyware for China Government. BUT whats with Google, Samsung, Microsoft. Steam? Its US Spyware, and US is a facism Government. So the haters are simply mentally weak i think.

#NoHate but only Facts.

I hope this game will be have a nice Future. Its a nice game but i think, i wait for the next Sale (Summer Sale in 2 Weeks) or later :)
