Hey gang! Here are some of the most common questions regarding the steam version of the game.

When did Satisfactory release on Steam?

Can I play with people on EPIC if I own the Steam version? i.e. crossplay.

Yes!

Can I get a free copy on Steam if I own it on EPIC?

No.

Will my save files work in either version?

Yes! Any progress made in either versions can be transferred to the other.

For your save file to appear in the steam version you need to either move it from your epic ID folder to the \common folder, or to the folder representing your steam ID that's created when you make your first save on the steam version.

Save files are located under %localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames

Will the Steam version get updates as the same time as the Epic Games version?

Yes, we strive to update both versions at the same time and we don't have any intention of leaving either version behind.

Will the Steam version also have an experimental branch?

Yes! The Steam version will have an experimental branch that will be accessible for anyone to opt-in to via the game's beta branch properties.
