Start as external application

Hello guys,

few months ago i figured out, how to start satisfactory with steam so my epic account will be used ingame (to be able to use epic multiplayer network).
These parameters worked out for me:

-AUTH_LOGIN=<MyEMailAddress> -AUTH_PASSWORD=<MyPasswordAsPlainText> -AUTH_TYPE=epic -epicapp=CrabEA -epicenv=Prod -EpicPortal -epicusername="<MyUserName>" -epicuserid=<MyEpicUUID> -epiclocale=de

However this doesn't seem to work anymore since the last update. I used MyEpicUUID like i've found it at EpicGamesLauncher.log:

-AUTH_LOGIN=unused -AUTH_PASSWORD=<SomeCrypticHash> -AUTH_TYPE=exchangecode -epicapp=CrabTest -epicenv=Prod -EpicPortal  -epicusername="<MyUserName>" -epicuserid=<MyEpicUUID> -epiclocale=de

The password hash for auth_type exchangecode seems to be different every time, so i can't use this type for steam. This is why i used auth_type epic. I also tried:

-AUTH_LOGIN=<MyEMailAddress> -AUTH_PASSWORD=<MyPasswordAsPlainText> -AUTH_TYPE=epic -epicapp=CrabTest -epicenv=Prod -EpicPortal -epicusername="<MyUserName>" -epicuserid=<MyEpicUUID> -epiclocale=de

For experimental version, but the game doesn't seem to be able to log in to my account.

So all in all my question is: What happened to auth_type epic? Anyone got similar problems or other solutions?

Wasnt there a -nolauncher flag for the executable? I used to run from steam as a non-steam game like that.

Havent been running from Steam lately. I like opening the EGS launcher so I dont miss the free games hehe

I found some informations about games supporting a "NoLauncher" parameter, but this doesn't seem to be epic games (or epic launcher) related.
Also it doesn't seem to have any effect to satisfactory or my epic account authentifictation.

Anyway good to know, thanks for let us know.

edit: I just got home and checked it.

This is my Satisfactory Shortcut on my desktop. It starts without the Epic Launcher. I just add this as a non-steam game:

com.epicgames.launcher://apps/CrabTest?action=launch&silent=true

This DOES launch the EGS, it just doesn't show it and immediately launches the game. If one wants to run the game without the launcher then the -NoLauncher parameter seems like the way to go. (But, as stated, this is a per-game setting, not a global EGS thing!)

How am i able to add a shortcut to my library?
I can only select EXE files... There comes an error, when i select the sortcut.

I just found out how: You can select any EXE file when creating the lilbrary shortcut. After it has been added to the library you can modify the target afterwards to be anything you want.

So i did to add "com.epicgames.launcher://apps/CrabTest?action=launch&silent=true" to my library. When starting it steam brings up an error, that it can't launch that application while it acutally will be started by EpicGamesLauncher. So launching satisfactory and loggin in satisfactory to my epic account works, but steam brings an error any my steam status isn't in game also there's no steam overlay.
So not really a solution to my problem.

I've contacted epic support now...
