My save data is gone ;_;

So bought the game a few weeks and have been playing it, volume one at least. I uninstalled it because I wanted to play something else and didn't have enough room on my computer for it, but when I just reinstalled it my save data is gone and even my graphic settings needed to be readjusted. I had just won the demon tournament when I stopped and now it looks like I need to do everything again? Can some place explain to me what's going on and how I can get my save back? I really don't want to go through all of that again.

According to PCGamingWiki[www.pcgamingwiki.com], the saves are located somewhere in your Steam directory -- and while I recently deinstalled almost all the games I had installed over the years, including this one, the saves still seem to be there.

Did you deinstall all of Steam?
Or did you just install it on a different machine now?

No I just uninstalled the game. I haven't removed steam or played it on a different computer.

The only issue I know of where Steam saves disappear is due to a Steam cloud issue, which can be fixed by exiting Steam and restarting it. Otherwise I'd see if you can find the save location and verify that your save file is still there.

I've noticed uninstalling removes all saves from your Local PC and since this game doesnt have Cloud Saves anymore, every time you uninstall, unless you back up the save, you have to restart.

I lost my saves from years ago and had to start over too. ENG dub will also not work for me for some reason.

Well, I guess the good thing is that when I am ready I can start all over again from scratch and especially doing it again after I finish watching the .hack show again just to get a refresher on some characters that I had forgotten that were in the show but showed up in the game. I know it'll be a pain. But at least its something. It's like my dad says. You watch it more and you pick up more things you didn't see the first time watching it. Ya know?
