Sony (PlayStation) hasn't been a Japanese company since they moved to California years ago.

But that's Square Enix Europe, anciently Eidos, that's not Square Japan.

Most developers hate doing DRM-free. Japanese devs especially.

GOG installers are much easier, that's why people like to pirate them, because there is literally no DRM at all, you just share the installer and that's it.

Why gog? It is expensive, no regional pricing (e.g. cyberpunk DLC), no controller emulation..... not a steam fan and I own games on multiple platforms but gog so far my less favor.
