For MSAA and Nvidia users (get rid of black dot artefacts)
While using MSAA ingame, in the Nvidia control panel for NieR Automata set the antialiasing to enhance the application setting, and the corresponding transparency supersampling, it will avoid visual artefacts with trees (black dots everywhere).

So for example if ingame you have MSAA x2 then transparency supersampling should be set to x2.

Thanks for the tip, had horrible black dots using MSAA 2x, I just used NVIDIA control panel to do pretty much like you said (AA Mode -> Enhance the application setting, and AA - Transparency to 2x supersample), and that got rid of them!

Could be worth mentioning this on the PCGamingWiki page, if anyone wants to update it.

Oh sure! I totally forgot transparency supersampling was accessible from the regular Nvidia control panel, that's even better! I'm going to update my original post.

As for the PCGamingWiki update, I won't have access to my PC for a long time, but if you can do it yourself (you don't need to be logged) I'll give you a big award :p

It's been a while so I don't remember, but I don't recall it was the case. Anyways, not doing the trick is so ugly that it makes MSAA unusable anyways.

Any point to this over SMAA? MSAA x2 doest get rid of aliasing on this game and makes textures blurrier anyway. Someone confirm if it's still bugged because I'd say it's also still messing up the LODS.

That's weird, it worked wonders as far as I'm concerned.
For the LODs I'm using the LOD mod anyways, it's a bit heavy on resources but it's a night a day difference.
