Just bought the game...
Do I really have to grind through the arcade shooting thing at the start before getting to the actual game? Just want to clarify before I refund.

It just takes a few minutes honestly, just play for an hour at least then if you don't like then refund. Make sure you defeat the first boss in order to save other you'll have to play the intro section again.

There are loads of arcade shooting sections so if you don't like it, better refund.

There'll be more later, some long sections of the game are entirely flight sections, and later on it even becomes a central mechanic for some segments of the main story.

Embrace it. The gameplay has lots of moments that take you out and make it feel so damn varied.
It's more than worth it. 10/10 game.

I know you already said you got sucked in, just wanted to affirm your decision.

This is the best game ever made.
At first I though that it's just an ordinary Action game with sexy butt.
I have been playing games for 30 years and in my entire life I have never encountered such a deep and sentimental game. This game is a drama with superb music, story and art style.
What is the meaning of life and love for an android?
Most started the game to see superb bottoms, but stayed for everything the game has: existentialism, sentimentality, music, drama, style... and in the end... sacrifice.
Only after you play the third route, the third New Game, you will understand the world of this game.
If you don't like these, it's not for you.

Some really solid responses, then a troll arrives.

Once my work schedule slows down for Dec, I'll take a proper deep dive into the game.

I need to explain; I was referring to the post above yours.
Sorry about that.

oh boy you'll be in for a treat and you won't regret playing this game. Just a reminder, when you think the game is finished: it isn't finished until it's finished.
Happy playing!

The flight suit parts are the worst part of the game, thanks God there aren´t many.

Then again people got to remember this didn´t have a large budget, impossible to make all parts good.

Just bought the game, do I really have to play the game?

Dude, I just bought the game about a week ago and now I can't put it down. It's one of the best games I've ever played and I've also played many JRPGs in the past and this is up there. The ship section at the start caught me by surprise as I had no idea it was in the game but it was so stylish and unique while also playing tribute to other games/genres and anime's of the past that I purpose restarted the game twice just so I can enjoy that starting section.
