Performance on Steam Deck?
Always heard good things about this game, but never got around to wanting to try it. Some other new game just happens to take priority.

Was thinking of getting it on sale if it has good steam deck performance. Can you get a steady 60fps on the deck?

That's a lot of different opinions for a game on indentical hardware.

Yeah, I know...things change over time too, with different versions of Proton and whatnot, as well as the fact that some people may have their Decks tweaked using CryoUtilities and/or overclocking/undervolting. I'm on the fence about getting this as well since the Steam Deck is about to become my only means of playing games for quite a while.

It runs well on the steam deck as long as you turn down one of the settings. I think it's the ambient occlusion or anti-aliasing. Once that's done it runs at a pretty solid 60 fps on the Deck. It drains the battery in about an hour and a half, though.

Seems to be the standard for any good looking game at 60fps.

Just bought the game and played, according to steam, 3.5 hours on my steam deck. 1200x800, low details, 40 fps and ended with battery at 15% from 100%. No frame drops, good looking, icons on the map and text could be bigger but it's fine. Only issue is audio crackling once in a while

Checking in. I've been running everything at high/medium with FXAA, and it stays at 60 FPS most of the time. I limited it to 50hz/FPS though to smooth out the occasional dips and save a bit of battery. I get something like 3-3.5 hours. I am using CryoUtilities, for what it's worth. This game runs phenomenally and is perfect for the Deck.

Medium/High settings at 60fps is what I'm hoping for, but really, I wouldn't mind turning it down to low, as long as I can get a solid 60fps.
