It just never seems to go on sale, but the other Nier game (which I haven't played) goes on sale quite frequently, it's even on sale right now in the Humble store, just not Automata.

The worst part about it for me is the game was on Game Pass for some time but I never thought to try it, and I also wasn't aware third party games on Game Pass can actually leave the platform. I messed up not playing it sooner while it was still available.

Some solutions:
- Ask a friend who owns the game to family share it (the only problem is that you can't play anything from they library while him/her are playing anything.
- Wait for March 17, 2023. The last sale was on March 17, 2022 (the release date on steam was March 17, 2017)
- Sail the seven seas and play it again on Steam when you can (you lose online functions, which are a huge deal). So I don't recommend it.

- Play something else for now. Here some games that I like that you really should play, imo

There are two likely dates for the sale of this game: February 11 (Japanese holiday) or March 17 (game release anniversary on Steam). This second is more likely, as in recent years the game has always been on sale on that date. PSN also always starts selling on February 23, the commemorative date of the launch of the game on Playstation. Xbox the same

I played the 5 main routes of the game twice in the jacksparrow version (hehe) and I liked the game so much that I'm going to buy it just to platinum. I've been waiting almost a year for sale and still nothing. I think I can wait until March, I've waited almost a year
