How to switch characters?

I am now in my second gameplay, and I now play as 9S, with 2B following me. Is there a way now to switch roles, and play as 2B again?

The second route is meant to be played as 9S and there's no way to switch characters, the game is structured this way, making you play as different characters according to what the story needs.
Later on in the game you'll be able to play as 2B again.
