New for player this game. Kill or no kill for friendly robots?
First time play this. Noticed robots dont every enemy.
If I see friendly robots as dont attack me.

Do I must ignore friendly robots? Or kill them? If it's good rewards

Do what you think is best. Whether the choice you made is 'right' or 'wrong' is for you to decide later.

well there will be some robots that will beg you to kill them.

Yea i leave them be unless you really want the exp points. Theres no satire like GTA for doing it so i just leave them alone. Plus i feel bad after chasing that one into the den with the others

But is there any difference? I don't want spoilers, I had read an article that explains without spoiler how to do endings from B to E and it doesn't seem to be affected by attacking or befriending them.

There's no difference.

You actually get an achievement for killing them.
But if you kill them in a certain part of the game, it will effect your ending.

You don't need to worry about locking yourself out of anything. It's possible to get all 26 endings on a single save file. Worst that can happen is you lose a bit of story progress, so remember to save often.

It seems that if we kill all machines on Pascal village we get one of the secondary endings.

So if it makes no difference I'll just obliterate all machines on route B, then protect them on route C.

The entire point of games and what you do is them is to make your own decisions, not come to a forum to ask other people to make decisions for you.

Machines don't have feelings. glory to mankind

which ones are you talking about though? the ones that don't attack as soon as you leave the bunker or the village of machines?

the peaceful village is more tied to the regular plot (endings A, B and C) so the story will play out normally if you don't kill them, they're also friends of the resistance camp and have side quests of their own as well as the regular shops

the ones that just space out after leaving the bunker you can kill as many of them as you want, they'll drop currency and occasionally raw materials and will never attack first. after some point early in the plot though all these roaming machines become hostile

I don't think he was talking about those. I just played early story and remember somebody saying they don't attack first but are increasing in number. I'm pretty certain their early behavior is to make the game easier for noobs.

Anyway, I tried attacking them on route B / 2nd playthrough.

Machines on the amusement park have no difference. They attack back when attacked and later respawn as machines on desert and outside camp area. So we can just kill them and it will remain as if they weren't attacked. There's even a new sidequest on route B to kill some of them, probably to stimulate to do so.

Machines on Pascal village don't attack back and still beg to not be killed and apologize just before dying. They respawn when we go a bit far and there's a side ending that requires slaying them all before any respawns. After the ending, loading back the save, they're all back alive, and I guess that even if the ending isn't reached they'll just respawn anyway.

Kill them all.

Depends on what the OP means when he said "friendly" robots. By the game's definition, the machines that aren't connect to the networks are those that are shown in "white" in the mini-maps, like the animals you can tame. Those that are shown in black are connected to the network, and therefore are the enemies you "should" kill, although the neutral ones that give you quests are also shown as black. Most of the white ones doesn't fight back when you attack them and they either apologize or beg for their lives or just stay quiet. In some areas however, the white ones can be aggressive. And one of them will stay calm until you hit him way too many times then he will go berserk on you, make sure your level is high enough if you try to offend this one.

For the friendly killing achievement to count, you need to kill those white ones.
Though you will really need to be killing and hitting everything in order to find that other achievement. And there are achievement for not killing a certain machine as well. So everyone above asking you to do that is telling you part of the truth, just not the whole truth. :3: If you are a completionist, you really need to smack everything to get them updated into your bestiary data archives anyway.

For the ending N,R,Z, you need to kill the friendly ones in a certain area during a certain time period of the game. While there's a few other endings that are related on your decision in certain part of the story based on will you save them or not?

For the ending J, you can even get this ending by accident if you are happy triggered and killing every machine on sight. This ending also has a time limit on where and when it will be counted.

So the correct answer to the OP's question: Kill or no kill? is: Kill AND no kill.
