Post [E]nding Lore
Do not read any of thse until you have finished the game in its entirety all the way until ending E.

All links for all Nier: Automata supllementary materials can be found here:

https://theark.wiki/w/I_just_got_Ending_E

All novels and other supppementary materials on that page are canon and have been translated for the fans.

Good reads. Thank you.

These are all canon and are used when discussing the more in depth ideas in the game on the nier reddit and I didn't see it posted anywhere on here so I wanted people to be aware of the novels existance if they wanted more lore and character development. 2B has a ton of character development not referenced in the game for example and alot of 2Bx9S relationship questions get answered with these novels.

Thanks for posting those, it´s always nice to see official lore beyond the game.

Is there a wiki page for Automata yet?

Also, weird stuff about Adam. I always thought his hatred was about the maso, but apparently the events of Drakengard E ending have no relation to the machines behavior at all.

Yea im a bit rusty on drakengard 1 lore. Im a nier automata pleb so I started the series with automata, played nier, drakengard 3 and now im playing drakengard 1. I know the ending of drakengard 1 but I havent beaten it yet sadly. I don't think theres an automata wiki page yet but the nier reddit collects all of these novels and compiles them on https://theark.wiki/

bump for relevancy

One thing of note I forgot to mention, the "concert script 5: farewell" that I previously linked is the bad ending for the concert but it's not the true, canon ending to the concert. This has the true, canon ending:

sorry guys, i messed up a little :( so i updated the links with more accurate translations

I only replaced the novel links for consistency but the only one that absolutely needed replacing was "concert script 5: Farewell" because the 1 I linked before only had the bad ending to the concert script but the one I replaced it with now has both the good (canon) ending, and the bad (troll) endings

The one I linked before was https://theark.wiki/w/Farewell But as I said, it only had the bad non canon ending so I linked a new 1 with the true, good ending included

Somebody mentioned in a podcast that Yoko Taro is still writing material and releasing it every month regarding the Nier Automata universe. Is that the case? I thought I'd already read everything but looks like there's MORE~

Thanks so much for sharing these!! I would've never found them otherwise.

Not really sure personally, taro just didn't want to have a repeat of the characters stories in a new game but he wanted to finish writing their stories so he wrote the concert scripts to tie up some loose ends without feeling like he's telling the same story again if he makes another game with 2B, 9S, or A2 again.

Spoilers spoilers.

I'm not sure if we're really going to see much of 9S or A2 ever again, sadly. I get the feeling that he's sort of like the FF games in that he wouldn't use the same main protagonists in his stories.

yea taro never uses the same characters twice but something thats quite interesting is the emil's head weapon story. It talks about sighting a mysterious android in black with a "comlicated look on her face". The story gives a date for that sighting and its roughly 700 years after the ending of nier automata in the timeline. If taro ever does anything with that weapon story, its most likely talking about 2B since 2B was much more subtle and hidden with her emotions most of the time, making others think she was "mysterious" or "complicated"
